Replace Your Certification Card
By filling out the form below, you can quickly and easily order a replacement certification card. IDEA Scuba offers an easy and convenient way to replace your IDEA Certification Card. Our replacement cards are of the latest style and are uploaded to your online profile for quick access. Never lose your card again. It will also be available in our App, which is coming soon.
Like other agencies, we no longer generate plastic certification cards. Most dive shops and charters prefer a digital version they can keep with their records and it lets you send it to them ahead of time. We can create and send a hardcopy card, please contact us if you need a plastic card in addition to the digital version. An additional fee will apply for plastic cards.
Apply for A Replacement IDEA Certification Card
Please provide as much information as possible to assist us in conducting a thorough search of our records dating back to 1952. Your detailed information will help us to find your record quickly.
Please note the following. We have the records for IDEA USA students going back to 1952. If you were certified by IDEA outside of the USA (Canada, Japan, South America, Europe, Asia, etc…) we will not have your records.
We will search for your record after you have filled out the online form and paid the search fee. If we are able to locate your record, we will create a replacement card for you. Make sure you create an online profile (including a good picture suitable for an ID–link at the bottom) after you request a replacement card and we will upload a digital version to your account.
The replacement fee covers the time and effort to search our old records. If we are not able to locate your record, we will not be able to create a replacement card or refund the search fee. Please include all of the information to aid our search for your record. Please be sure that you were certified with IDEA USA (International Diving Educators Association) and not with another agency.
We do not have records for other scuba agencies.
Please be aware that there is a fee of $50 for a searching our records and creating a new Digital IDEA Certification Card.
Scuba diving is a beloved hobby that requires a certification card to show that you are a trained and qualified diver. Your certification card is an important document that proves your skills and qualifications to dive safely.
